The Office of the County Clerk is responsible for issuing, maintaining and recording: birth certificates, death certificates, marriage licenses, deeds, titles, business licences, and other various public records. They also collect delinquent taxes, provide passport services, and voters' registration services as well as conducting, recording and reporting public election results.

Tuesday, April 5, 2010 is the date for the 2011 Consolidated Election. Polls in Jersey County, and throughout the State of Illinois, will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The following positions will be voted on at the April 5, 2010 Consolidated Election:

Lewis & Clark Community College Trustees
Members of Regional Board of School Trustees (Calhoun, Greene, Jersey and Macoupin Counties)
Members of Regional Board of School Trustees (Madison County)
Village Trustee
Village Board President
Village Clerk
Village Treasurer
Municipal Library Trustee
City Mayor
City Commissioners
Alderman (Wards 1, 2, 3)
Fire Protection District Trustee
The above list of races to be voted on, will be determined by the voter's residency.
Absentee, Grace and Early Voting
For the convenience of the voters in Jersey County, County Clerk Stephen L. Pohlman will provide Absentee, Grace and Early Voting.

Early Voting Begins Monday, March 14, 2011 and runs through Thursday, March 31, 2011.
Grace period voting Wednesday, March 9, 2011 through Wednesday, March 29, 2011.
You may Absentee Vote at the County Clerk's Office through Monday, April 4, 2011.
Voting takes place during regular office hours, except as noted:Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm Friday: 8:00am - Noon
Saturday, March 19 and 26, 2011: 9:00am - Noon
Wednesday, March 29, 2011: 8:00am - 6:00pm
